Dr. Darshan Patel is a dual board-certified physician in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine with extensive clinical and administrative experience and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. He began medical school at the age of 17, earning his MBBS from Gujarat University, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and further honed his expertise by completing the Blackburn Course in Obesity Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Patel has served as an attending physician and medical director, improving healthcare delivery by implementing innovative technologies, optimizing workflows, and enhancing patient care systems. He has been a leader in quality improvement and behavioral health initiatives.
As the founder of Aayu Well Healthcare, Dr. Patel specializes in obesity management and weight loss. He has been practicing obesity medicine for several years and has experience prescribing GLP-1 medications, including Ozempic, since its launch. His clinical approach integrates advanced therapies with lifestyle modifications to help patients achieve sustainable health outcomes.
